Karol Kot

Karol Kot was a polish man born in the 60's. When he was a kid he was considered a teachers pupil, but his peers hated him, not because he was a good student, but because he was snitching on them all the time. That made him hate them even more than before, he had always had that feeling that he was born to wield power and that other kids didn't like him, beacuse he was way smarther or more handsome than them.    He said that no one could understand him and his genius, including his parents who didn't have time for him. He also loved to play with knifes, he said that it was interesting to him, because knifes were associated with devastation and killing people. So it won't be suprising that his dream job was to be a commander in the army.

He started his killing from little animals, but after some time it wasn' enough. His first try to kill a real human being was in 1964, he stabbed an old lady in the church, but happily she survived. First time he actually succeded in his attempt was in 29th September in 1964, it was a woman named Maria Plichta and she was killed of course with a knife. He kept killing until he met Danusia Włodarczyk, they met on the weapons treining, she was the one who told the police about Karol and that he had been telling her sick things and even tried to hurt her.

After a long process he was plead guilty and sentenced to death by hanging in 1966. To this day it is debatable if it was a right decision, because experts from Cracow found him non-compass, but those from Grodzisk Mazowiecki disagreed and said that he was in full possession of his senses. What's obvious is that he was a narcisist and sadist. He was given a nickname "Vampire from Cracow", which don't need any explanation.

I took the info from the book "W umyśle mordercy" by Łukasz Wroński.
