WHO investigation

One of the member of World Health Organization - Dominic Dwyer, accuses China of not handing over key data about covid, which is basically precise information about the very beginning of it. It all happened when China doubted whether the pandemic actually started there. They made a theory that coronavirus originated in different country and got to Wuhan with imported frozen food.  Peter Ben Embarek - leader of WHO, said last week that yes, there is a possibility that the virus was transmitted there via frozen food, but it would be extremelly difficult and hard to find out if it is actually true, but also not impossible. The first step was getting this key data from Chinesse government, but now apprently they don't want to give it.

What I think is that Chinesse government is trying to put a blame on everyone else instead facing the fact that they are the one to put the blame on. It's not the first time when they can't adress their own shortcomings and when it gets really hot in the country they just try to rally it against common enemy to unite and sooth people. If they don't have anything to hide then why are they making the investigation difficult? First they had problems with visas, then put the whole squad of WHO in hotel quarantine and now they are oppposing to just give neccessary information that techincally could support their theory.

  1. I'd be far from defending the Chinese government but many other governments in the world hide or manipulate data if it can improve their image and save them trouble. Look closer to home and you'll find examples of that too.
