Mary Flora Bell

Obraz
Mary Flora Bell was only 11 when she murdered two little kids. One of them was 4 year-old Martin Brown, who she enticed to the old house and then choked to death and the other 3 year-old Brian Howe also choked, but moreover mutilated with scissors.  Everyone in 1968 in England was shocked how little girl like Mary could do such terrible things. The cause of her distortion was found in her relationship with mother. She was a 17-year old prostitutte, who didn't care about her child and tried to kill it at least once, as the other members of the family say. Furthermore, Mary has never met her father and was sexually abused and beaten since the age of 5. Her way of dealing with this trauma was to transfer her anger into other kids, and that's why she abused them and was considered a problematic child. Another thing that pushed Mary in some way to commit murder was the fact she had a dominant personality and unusually high intelligence.  This skills helped her to persuade her frien...

Karol Kot

Obraz
Karol Kot was a polish man born in the 60's. When he was a kid he was considered a teachers pupil, but his peers hated him, not because he was a good student, but because he was snitching on them all the time. That made him hate them even more than before, he had always had that feeling that he was born to wield power and that other kids didn't like him, beacuse he was way smarther or more handsome than them.    He said that no one could understand him and his genius, including his parents who didn't have time for him. He also loved to play with knifes, he said that it was interesting to him, because knifes were associated with devastation and killing people. So it won't be suprising that his dream job was to be a commander in the army.  He started his killing from little animals, but after some time it wasn' enough. His first try to kill a real human being was in 1964, he stabbed an old lady in the church, but happily she survived. First time he actually succeded ...

Reflection 2

This weekend i went to see a doctor. I was in the car with my mother when suddenly she said that she have to buy something really quick in the grocery store. I decided to stay in the car. While I was sitting there I saw a mother of my old friend from primary school walking her dog. I was just about to get out of the car and say hello when her dog started to do Its businnes. There’s nothing wrong with it, but What striked me was that she didn’t clean it up and just walked away like it didn’t happen.  I was so shocked, because she has always seemed to me like a very polite, sophisticated and even I would say perfect person. It would be different If the dog did in on the grass, but it was literally on the pavement next to the restaurant.  It was so weird to see her act like rules don’t obtain her when I thought she is so down-to-earth. I realised how often people who at first give an impression that their life is ideal at the end turned out to be bears.

My reflection

Last week when I was going to school I was sitting at the bus stop, waiting for my bus and decided to check the weather. It was 22 degrees and the sun was shinning very bright. I realized how weird it is that just a week ago I was on holiday camp and a weather like that was a blessing there. I would go swimming, tanning and sometimes even complain that it’s too hot. But now I was sitting with my blouse on, feeling cold and thinking that there’s No way I would go swimming right now.  So I think that how we act and the activities we are willing to do aren’t based on weather conditions etc. (how it should be), but they change to particular circumstances like in this situation that would be start of the school or the fact that September is theoretically first month of autumn so it doesnt go with the activities that were on daily basis during August just a week ago. And I think that’s weird How it can change our whole mindset and that such small thing can limit us in some way....

Ma'Khia Bryant's death

On Tuesday afternoon the police in Colombus, Ohio, received an attempted stabbing call and after a few minutes another one. When the police arrived on the scene they saw a woman, which later turned out to be 16 years old Ma'Khia Bryant, moving towards another girl. She was holding a knife ready to stab the other girl, but dropped it after being shot 4 times in the chest by the police. She was taken to the hospital and prounanced dead. Hazel Bryant, who is Ma'Khia's aunt said that her niece got into the fight with other teenagers. Now people are arguing if this is another act of racism in the USA.  At first I was shocked when I've read that this girl died, because of this action, but then I saw the video of it, where you can clearly see she was in full swing mode, closer than 1 second to stab the other teenage girl and wasn't listening to the police requests to stop. If the police didn't shoot her the other girl would have been probably dead by now and I wonder w...

Kelyn Spadoni

One day in February a woman named Kelyn Spadoni randomly saw $1.2m in her back account. Without hesitating she bought a new car and a house. But now brokerage firm, Charles Schwab, wants the money back, because they wanted to transfer her $82.56 but ended up transfering $1,205,619 as a result of the software glitch. Because of the fact that Spadoni was ignoring their emails or calls they decided to take her to court saying that she has signed a contract that says client must return an overpayment of funds in full. The firm reclaimed all but a quarter of the money, but now Spadoni is out on $150,000 bond and has also been fired from her job. I am not suprised that when she saw this amount of money on her account she wanted to use it as soon as possible so that later on it will be harder for the firm to take it back from her, but I think it is not moral what she did, because mistakes like that happens and now because of her greed the brokerage firm have to fight for its own money. A...
